This is true everywhere. Tradovate has pretty good loss limit tools though. Manage your risk appropriately. Futures can gap in value especially if they’re illiquid. Some contracts like softs or grains, etc can gap max for days at a time without letting you get out. Good:-Tradovate back ui is good. I like the account reports with with bunch of P&L graphs and metrics .but sometimes the data is not recent they lag a bit. -In the settings very clearly organized for subscription and modification cme data and membership fees.Tradovate and TS have pros and cons. TradeStation software is much more powerful. Their desktop app only runs on Windows though. Their mobile app is good although wouldn't really ever want to be trading on a phone.
