The 940 is just as much of a dumpster fire as the 930. Mossberg sent a pair to be stage guns at the Blue Line match a month or so ago with both breaking before the day was over. Of the three shooters I know that were there, none of them got through that stage without issues.I had the same problem with a Mossberg 930. I would love to tell you that I am a gun genius, disassembled, immediately located the problem, and repaired. Not the case. No idea what was causing the issue. My guess was trash in the trigger group and it just needed to be shot. Took it apart, cleaned it well. May 7, 2023. #1. I was wondering if anyone has seen or heard of this before. yesterday I was teaching someone with my 940 JM pro. I had showed him how to use the safety prior to loading. The gun was then loaded while the safety was on and he was holding it properly (no finger on the trigger) with muzzle pointing down range.Mossberg's Jerry Miculek Pro Series Tactical Class Model 930 12-gauge autoloader is versatile, reliable and affordable.
