This means that it can drop from any notable loot source in the game. Notable loot sources are pretty much anything that can drop loot like minibosses, bosses, chests, and even normal enemies. There is a Zerker Stabbo melee build that does 100m damage, I personally use Spore as main and Graveborn 2nd I tried Spore Zerk but I love companions. Hammerzerker is fun imo (clawbringer+brrr-zerker), plenty of damage reduction, health regen, melee damage and elemental damage. Staying enraged is really easy.
I like the corrupted plate mail because I don't have to focus on adding dark magic damage, which is great not only for added survivability, but also great for stacking exploit their weakness. If you're running a live wire, and are enraged, with the platemail, that's 3 status effects already right there.

This is an excellent summary of survival strategies. My biggest complaint with healing/survival via dark magic damage in Wonderlands is that it heals via transfusions, and the transfusion trails either seem to take forever to get to you, or the percentage healing per trail is not enough to truly leverage survival without using a Corrupted Platemail. I also have a set of Corrupted Platemail which adds +1 to Haste and +4 to Swift Death, which are off build but still useful, and has a single good substat of +15% all damage dealt. I have heard mixed opinions on whether the +3 to contagion or the extra concurrent status effect from Corrupted Platemail is better.
