Tundra 4lo light flashing.

47 posts · Joined 2012. #1 · Sep 21, 2014 (Edited) It's been a couple of years since I used 4-low in my 2007 Tundra. I've used 4-high a few times. Today, I needed 4-low. I was in 4-high. It was working fine. When I turned the switch to 4 low while in neutral, the light on the dash just blinked rapidly. It wouldn't switch to 4 low.Jun 30, 2014 · Yes, I finally got to it and fix it. It was the 4wd actuator switch on the transfer case. Toyota want almost $1000 for that part alone and you'll still have to open the transfer case up to pull the actuator off. Instead I went a bought an used whole transfer case for $600 and put it on. No more 4lo flashing and my 4hi and 4lo work now. I was at 55 MPH when all of a sudden my check engine light and traction control light came on. My 4LO and VSC light started flashing. I thought my truck was going to go into 4 LO. Since then, it has not stopped flashing no matter the position of the switch. I have done all the "tricks" to get it to engage or disengage, drive straight, neutral with and without brake on, tight turns on soft material, tight turns on hard material, broad sweeping turns, etc, in all positions of the know, with no changes.
