It should have "Made in USA" or a 4 line trade mark stamp like this one, stamped on the right side over the trigger guard. With a S&W logo on the right or left side just in front of the grips.

The -2 after M66 in the model number indicates the second engineering change, which occurred in 1982 and lasted until 1986 when the -3 was released. The Model 66 was initially released in 1970. Welcome to the forum. You will enjoy it, but it will cost you a lot of money when you get the S&W fever. Your serial number range is 1973- 1974. The 2 inch model 10 was made in a square grip and a round grip. The round grip is best for carry, but the square grip fits my hand better for shooting.
Most likely, your serial number will have a K in it, at the fourth position (like 130Kxxx). If it is a later Model 19-5 (post 1983) it will have three letters and four numeric digits. This revolver has the 2 1/2" barrel and a round butt. They are very much in demand these days and will command a premium on the price.
