So the ability to steal from other modders is not what I would call a "benefit". If mods where monetized they would have to regulate this in some way, otherwise someone could in reality just copy a paid mod and release it for free. overall every GS paradox game that is currently receiving updates is just stale, too easy, or too simple. ck3 feels like 20 percent of the game ck2 is the new dlc is a good step in the direction but again they need to fix the pacing. you can become an empire from a county in 100 years. its just too easy.

Crusader Kings 3 is probably the easiest one to get into currently, followed by Imperator. CK2 is convoluted (but yet the best), EU4 needs a lot of DLC and is harder to get into. Imperator is fairly easy and decent but its production has been discontinued so you’ll have to rely on mods to get the most out of it.

I know but like specificly those few years or like hearts of iron with a few years before (1910-1918) I think there's a HoI4 mod that does that. I doubt PDX will ever make a game specifically for that period though. Check the mod for HoI4 called "The Coming Storm". It covers the early 20th century. They have a subreddit up for it.
