My drop rate for legend lost sectors seems to consistently hover around 16% for whatever reason. The drop rate for master seems to be a bit more consistent with what you and others have experienced. My luck seems to have soured particularly in the last week or two (ie, 1 or 2 hours of continuous ~2min runs with 0 drops), but I'm not sure why

No its just solo. Unfortunately the RGN is pretty bad. Legendary lost sector rng is bad. Id do master if at all possible. Nope, you can die as many times as you want but it is all down to rng. Sometimes it'll happen where you don't get an exotic in like 20 runs. Edit: what does matter is killing all the champions tho.
Thanks man. Someone did extensive testing on many lost sectors (literally several thousand total runs) and found a roughly 25% exotic drop rate for legend and 33% for master. They had several dry runs exceeding 30 lost sectors in a row with no exotic drop. So sometimes, you just get very unlucky.
