Raises TV off unit giving great position for the centre speaker, and potentially getting a pass on the high TV. Then puts it in a cupboard… offset. Although, the wall I'm suggesting for the TV might get too much outdoor light depending on whether that window is facing east or west - so glare could be an issue at certain times. The chair rail (vestigial, but nice) would also be in the way of many mounting bracket designs. Overall, this room isn't a great layout for watching TV.

(The bed is at the same height as the desk is) sometimes I’ll also roll my chair back and sit reclined in it with my feet on the desk. My living room was built such that above the fireplace is about the only place the TV can go. So for the last few years since I moved in my TV has been too high.
