It is a 1971 FJ55 I will be converting it to a Mercedes OM617 5cyl turbo diesel, Sm420, Stock landcruiser transfer case, Maybe an Orion later depending on money 5:13s, it will have some exo tubing rock guards and a top rack.Mercedes Benz OM617 5-cylinder. Return it to the factory position and don't adjust it further than 1/2 turn. If the pump has not been modified, you have engine mechanical issues or the pump is installed with incorrect timing. I haven't adjusted anything.

I initially installed the injection pump on my newly rebuilt engine with the crankshaft at TDC. The engine ran pretty well but had some light smoke so I got ready to adjust the injection timing. It looked like the manual says to set the crank to 24 BTDC prior to installing the injection pump. I removed and reinstalled the pump at 24.
