But we have recently found out that the Navistar Maxxforce 7 is a terrible risk. We heard the company is on the verge of bankrupcy due to being sued. The engine coolant system appears to have a major design flaws. Most likely your engine was made in 2012, probably has the older DPF, needs a new DPF and several ECM changes which have been made to enhance the DPF life. The newer DPF is less restrictive. There is a FaceBook Breeze Owners Group that I participate in and monitor and by my count, 7 out of 42 owners of the 240hp MaxxForce (2010 EPA) reported engine issues: 5 regarding the DPF (part of the emission control system); and, 2 regarding the high-pressure fuel system.
