Nov 24, 2023 · Kia/Hyundai key fob remotes programming are dealership only. Most mobile key programmers or locksmith can't or won't be able to reprogram/program & or sync them. If one can find a programer & it's not dealership, it won't last long. The BCM will eventually lock the remote & not recognize the remote fob anymore. I grabbed my other key fob that hasn’t ever been used and didn’t unlock until I was next to the car and pressed the handle to unlock. Fob wouldn’t work. I went back inside to grab the other one, and that one also isn't working. It seems very suspicious that both of them would stop working at the same time. This happened once about a year ago (just with one of the fobs), and it ended up working again like 20min later.
