I read where the belt is directional so I made sure to mount it correctly. The new drive belt is 1 1/4 inches across the top which it should be. The old belt was worn to 1 1/8 inches. It's not listed on the parts diagram so you'll have to have the service dept. look in their service manual for the tool part number. I disassembled my machine and put it on a trailer and took it to the dealer.

You didn't damage it, but you are suffering from a very common problem with JD Gators in general. The Primary clutch is sticking. Basically as the clutch warms up during operation friction increases within causing the clutch halves not to fully disengage. If your Ford Focus clutch is not working as you would like it to, you can adjust it. It may be as simple as filling the reservoir with clutch fluid, or even adjusting the pedal.
