The Tivo rep was actually suggesting that I contact the ABC station so that they could contact Tivo to get the problem resolved. Uh, why would I need to do that??? And, besides, the ABC channel doesn't appear to be the problem - it looks to me like it's the Tivo channel guide that has the bogus 29-3 and 29-4 stations showing up in the first place.

A tech has just tried to change the splitter and the cables in my house but signal is strong (every channel I test for strength has 94 or 95). After many calls and repeating the same information to multiple people, we eventually were told to go to the xfinity store and get a new cablecard. After installing and calling up to get it paired and restarting the TiVo it now works again. The process was not painless but at least things are working again for the time being.

I've had this issue since Dec'13 and have been working with TiVo (Margret) and Ed (Cablevision).
