This just pops off with a pull with some pliers. When you go to the inside of the jeep, on the drivers side and look up into the corner to the left of the brake pedal you can clearly see the opening. Very easy. Note that this is for an automatic jeep, I believe the manuals have a clutch pedal in this area.

The Jeep is still under warranty, and a DIY replacement would cost $300+, so I'd like a quick assessment before I take it into the dealer for warranty replacement. I bought my JL Unlimited on Friday evening - 2 nights ago. As I was driving to take it home and hit 4 or 5 stop lights, the orange A! sign came up with a chime. I didn;t give enough notice to it but on Saturday when I started it, it was gone. Then again it came up and keeps coming up - and the reason was battery in protection mode.Long story short I didn't have long enough ground wires for the light to hit the recommended location closest to the fire wall. I found this other ground. Looked just like the one closest to the firewall. Hooked up the lights with the main battery dis connected and the factory aux switches off. And the lights came on!The Jeep started normally, but did have a "check engine" light on first start. That CEL went away on the second start and the Jeep seems to behave normally.
