Estoc dark souls.

Starting this new character, I'm rushing for the Estoc. It's amazing. It's one of if not the best weapon right now (rivaled by I believe the Sunlight Straight Sword and the Dark Sword). You have low stamina costs. A decent C/C scaling with refined. A great move set.

Dex scaling changes to C. Ice Rapier is a weapon in Dark Souls 2. Rapiers wielded by sorcerers of Eleum Loyce, imbued with a magic that is released with a strong attack. A great protective wall was erected to protect Eleum Loyce from the encroaching chaos, and these sorcerers were amongst its defenders. The Estoc 1H R2 is quite simply the best move in the game. Not only does it pierce shields, but it is extremely fast, can combo into a normal stab, and even out-ranges spears/rapier pokes. Fighting greatswords is hilariously easy when you can just stand outside the range, and counter sweep between swings.Jan 26, 2019 · just parry them xD, always punish 1 handed weapons. #3. Seferofe Jan 26, 2019 @ 6:09am. It used to be pretty popular ages ago. I think it was estoc paired with Yhorm's Machete. Dunno why it's suddenly popular again. There's a few other combos I've seen, with things like a SS or the red hilted halberd on the off hand. #4. Estoc's R2 is nice for some sweeping action when facing multiple enemies. Rapier will hit harder, Estoc has a horizontal sweep; Its really more of a dex short sword than a thrusting sword. Rapier does not do poor damage by any stretch of imagination if you counter, which will probably happen incidentally because the frames for it are so long now.If left hand weapons are the same in Dark Souls as they are in Demons, they will be only good for dual wielding (to create a stunlock effect and offer faster off-hand swings) and to give some sort of passive bonus (like the magic-boosting Kris Blade). Using the Estoc in the left hand limits it's amazing moveset to one attack.

It's usually 14/16 str 40 dex/45 str or 27/28 str 40/45 dex for a quality. Or 40/40. That said, if you just wanna use the estoc, base str is perfect, as that e contributes nothing. The Sword of Searching was practically a godsend compared to this piece of utter trash. Useless, useless, and even more redundantly useless. Just another piece in the puzzle that shows why Dark Souls 3 is a cacophony of poor choices in design and gameplay.

Raw weapons (like fire and deep weapons) just raise the base damage but don't give you damage bonus depending on your stats anymore (the scaling). Other infusions change on which stats and how much damage bonus you get. Also, no need to buy a new estoc, you can re-infuse a weapon you infused.

It's going to depend mostly on how which moveset you like best. Estoc has best range and highest base damage. Rapier is short, but has the best crit damage and is the lightest. Ricard's Rapier has better scaling in dark, chaos, and blessed infusions. Main hand- sharp/chaos/dark estoc. Off hand- sharp rapier for parries.

QFS, Gold Tracer, some kind of spear and Shotel will be tier 2. Tier 3 would be things that are viable but not as good as Tier 1 weapons, like Claymore, Great Scythe, whatever.

I wouldn't let the scaling be the determining factor. All you need to know is. If you want to poke from behind a shield, use Estoc. If you want to backstab, use lightning rapier. www.armoredcoreuniverse.net. Vapid_Zero 12 years ago #5.IMO, the Estoc is more of a quality weapon. Are you planning on going full Dex? I'm leaning towards the Rapier since it has a more familiar moveset to me, the same scaling, and only slightly lower base damage at level 15 than the Estoc (less than 10 points' difference). What are your opinions for both PvP and PvE? Are some of the slashing swords better? Also, if anyone knows any impact-based weapons useful for dexterity builds, that'd be great.
