Jun 7, 2023 · Installed a new Gemini box yesterday. The remote will control volume and mute but will not turn on/off tv. It is a Vizio tv. Older but the old genie remote worked fine. Spoke with support. After 30m- they are sending me a new remote. We all know that’s a waste of time and the new remote will also Not Work. Genies. You cannot register (AFAIK) more than one IR device to be turned off. So when hitting the OFF, the Gemini remote should be sending the IR off command to your TV.
