Apparently OCCT is very shader heavy and destroys air cooled 4090s, for me the core temp goes to 72- 73, with hotspot shooting all the way up to 94. More than 20C above core temperature. Nov 13, 2017 · In terms of thermal performance, the 5-year-old 120mm EVGA FTW3 Hybrid 1080Ti easily destroys 360mm Gigabyte Xtreme Waterforce 4090. Both are at the same noise level with default fan curves. And EVGA even has 9 more sensors in each part of the PCB to detect even lower temperature than the Gigabyte. My Founder's Edition 4090 seems to hit a limit above +1000 which works out to 1450-1475 mhz tops in Port Royal.
