About a week ago, after opening the sunroof on my 2016 F150 with almost 36k miles, I heard the pop as many do when opening the sunroof. This is not the first time I've heard the pop and I usually try to clean and lube the seals after I wash the vehicle.
I had the common F150 issue where the sunroof rails cracked and the sunroof wouldn’t open and close properly. So I:1. Replaced the rails2. Greased the window...1) with the truck off, insert the key in the ignition. 2) Hold down the reset button. 3) rotate the key to the RUN position (not start) 4) keep holding the RESET button untill the message center reads ENGINEERING MODE. Figured out how to get the track to move so I could at least get the roof closed properlyGet a little cup of water with a squirt of dish soap and vinegar and a clean rag. Open the moonroof and wipe all the edges that come together, mainly the rear edge of the panel that moves, and front of the stationary panel.
