The key is if you see the grease come out - then its time! If the primary clutch is kept from getting too hot the grease lasts the 600 hours no problem. There has been a number of guys on here that have said there isn't a noticeable difference between Gen 4 & Gen 5 in the trail models. I changed the chain case every 1200 miles lubed and adjusted the track every other ride and adjusted the belt when needed. Never even changed the plugs.
