T3X Varmint trigger is single-stage. T3X TAC-A1 is two-stage. Pull weights are otherwise pretty close. Otherwise actions are identical, other than the TC A1 puts a little plastic ball on the regular nubby little T3X bolt handle to make it more "tactical." The TAC A1 chassis is maybe a bit heavier - check the specs.
Tikka gives you more consistent rifles. Christensen are super hit or miss. Bergara is a good option too, but Tikka is the most consistent. That being said, most people are happy with Bergara out of the box, while most people want to replace the Tikka stocks.The Tikka is a great rifle, but if you want it to do double duty, the MPR is around 2 lbs lighter. As always, Tikka T3. Not the lightest but in my opinion, best bang for the buck off the shelf. Money saved for hunts. Accuracy with any ammo. Trigger is superb. In all my time selling firearms, never had a Tikka returned for QC, cant say that about any other. The only one that was brought back was due to 300wm and customer flinching accuracy.Comes with a better trigger. Once again, Tikka has a great trigger, but not better than TT.
