The ones I used were 3 inch in and out without the neck downs entering the muffler body. ATF is automatic transmission fluid just like you say. In Basic terms is actually Hydraulic fluid. Dextron I, II, III, etc, Mercon, ATF4, A, F, H, CVT, you get the point.
