The futures commissions on tda are nasty indeed. ~$5 per contract round trip. Terrible. But I like the interface and I think using ActiveTrader is easier and more intuitive than most other platforms I’ve tried. Free platform. Comparable if not cheaper commissions than AMP. For scalpers i would say tradovate is the way to go if you get the commission free trading package. Other than that the platform is pretty laggy compared to quantower , ninja trader etc, but it is a good starter platform. I’ll look into this.
