Honda foreman 500 fuel filter location.

Had a mouse build a nest behind the battery and chew the wires on the sub-harness that goes to the fuel pump relay. It would still run but I still replaced the sub-harness.

I think these might run more on the blackish mark, but if it's a real dark black it would indicate it is running rich which could explain the back fire. Definately shouldn't be wet (sign of plug fouling). As for the filter. I went to a local hardware store and purchased a 5/64" drill bit and a left-handed tap to go with it $5 and was able to get it out. Pick up a spare bolt at the Honda shop for $.80 and threaded fine.
