Just wondering if anyone else had gone through this. I went to the Dr. Friday for my first ultrasound at 6 weeks (early b/c I have been doing infertility…I just had my first ultrasound yesterday. My FET was November 6th which puts me at 6 weeks, 3 days according to my calculations although my clinic has said I was 6 weeks, 2 days. Anyways, my betas were great (308, 1249, 3229 - all 48 hours apart) and I was expecting to see a heartbeat...I saw the baby's heartbeat flickering at 6 wk 5 days, I Did not hear it until my ultrasound 2 weeks later at 8 wk 4 days. I had an u/s at 6 wks 5 days, we saw tge fluttering of the heart and did get to hear it. It was at 125 bpm. The baby just looked like a little fuzzy spot on screen, it was extremely tiny.Sooo just came from my ultrasound and I’m so upset. I thought I was 7 weeks, but the baby was measuring 6 weeks and she was able to find the sac and yolk and everything, but no fetal pole or heartbeat. She told me to come back in 10 days, but didn’t give me much information. Is it possible it’s too early...The point of the ultrasound is for dating the pregnancy. Going off LMP is an estimate until you have your dating ultrasound. At 5+2 it would be unlikely that you'd see a heartbeat. In 2 weeks you should be able to see the flicker, keep in mind it might still be too early to HEAR the heartbeat. This is also normal.
